“Some people don't understand the promises they're making when they make them...Right, of course. But you keep the promise anyway. That's what love is. Love is keeping the promise anyway.”
― John Green, The Fault in Our Stars

“Words can be twisted into any shape. Promises can be made to lull the heart and seduce the soul. In the final analysis, words mean nothing. They are labels we give things in an effort to wrap our puny little brains around their underlying natures, when ninety-nine percent of the time the totality of the reality is an entirely different beast. The wisest man is the silent one. Examine his actions. Judge him by them.”
― Karen Marie Moning

“It was not despair, but it seemed to her as if life were passing by, leaving its promises broken and unfulfilled. Yet there were other days when she listened, was led on and deceived by fresh promises which her youth had held out to her.”
― Kate Chopin, The Awakening

“Broken vows are like broken mirrors. They leave those who held to them bleeding and staring at fractured images of themselves.”
― Richard Paul Evans, Promise Me

“There was plenty of life left and if he had to he would use it all to get her back. The time had passed for making promises to her-all that was left for him was to act.”
― Anna Godbersen, Envy

“Honesty is all I've got," she said finally, speaking in a low voice. "I don't have family. I don't have beauty, or a man. I don't have money, and I sure as hell don't have a future. All I've got to prop up my pride is my word." Her chin rose. "When Jenny Jones says something, you can bet your last peso that it's true.”
― Maggie Osborne, The Promise of Jenny Jones

“If you want to know if someone was meant to be in your future, then remove all the worldly things about them from your mind. Don’t think about their looks, the intimate moments or their personality. Now, think about how they made you feel, how they improved your life and what virtues they possess that push you to want to become better. Did they bring you closer to God? Did they bring you to your life mission? Did they ever lie to you, betray you or made it impossible for you to feel comfortable speaking your mind? When you remove all the shine from a diamond, it becomes a glass rock. What value is it then? See beneath the surface and you will know who your future is with.”
―  Shannon L. Alder

“When you adapt to someone, they become a part of your routine, a part of you. And when they’re taken away, you feel a bit lost. No matter how much you think it won’t affect your life, it does.”
-E.L. Montes, Perfectly Damaged

Its been awhile....

So much has happened since my last post, Ive probably lost any or all of those who viewed my page regularly. But now working graveyard I can pick back up on the things that ive been lacking.

Short but sweet, Im single again.... you can read my dating journal here:
Still working on the transition, and the updates on that =)

Now back to our regularly scheduled program...

would the seven-year-old you be proud of who you are today?

I just want to feel safe with someone,
to not always be wondering how he feels about me,
to not always be waiting for him to walk away,
to not always be wishing he would love me back.
I need to be able to trust that a man is there for me for
the right reasons, because he cares enough to be there

Never forget what a man says to you when he is angry

If all those words you said actually meant something,
maybe we wouldn't be standing where we are today.

Don't let him have the satisfaction of knowing you'll always be there waiting.

If he doesn't chase you,
after you walk away,
keep walking.

Don't do something permanently stupid just because you are temporarily upset

You are worth everything, everything and anything.
Don’t ever let anyone else tell you anything different.
YOU ARE ENOUGH.

if you want what you've never had,
you have to do what you've never done.

There is a big difference in what we long for,
what we settle for, and what we are meant for.

One girl. One smile. One moment. One life. One dream. One wish.
